For brokerages and networks
One visual standard across every office, every listing, every channel
Your brand applied automatically: enhanced photos, blurred faces, your watermark, and every format your brokers publish to. Built into the CRM they already use.
- 01
One standard, not one per office
Every office publishes the same look, whoever shot the property.
- 02
Every format, generated once
Listing, square, vertical. Your brokers stop resizing photos by hand.
- 03
A cost you can forecast
Priced per image or per property, whichever suits you. No freelancer invoices, no spend that drifts with volume.
What changes for your network
| Without Backbone Lab | ||
|---|---|---|
| Editing | Photos wait on an editor to edit them, so a broker sees a task rather than a finished listing. | Photos come back enhanced, blurred and watermarked without anyone opening an editor, straight into the CRM. |
| Cost | Editing costs vary across offices and a stack of editing solutions. | External editing spend goes, replaced by a single predictable line you can forecast. |
| Brand consistency | Guidelines live in a document each office is meant to remember and apply. | Colour, sky, crop and logo placement are configured once at network level, and every office inherits it. |
| Social | Brokers make their own channel assets, or go without them. | Instagram and TikTok formats come out of the same workflow as the listing photos. |
| Control | Bulk processing treats every listing the same, whether or not it needs staging. | Staging and photo to video stay on demand, triggered property by property by the broker who knows the listing. |
Example implementation
What this looks like in a network
We have written it out in full because the interesting part is the workflow, and because a network deciding whether to start should see exactly what they would be assembling.
The problem it solves
Every office managed its own editing. Some used a local freelancer, some an offshore service, a few edited in-house. Turnaround ran from a few hours to several days depending on who was free. The brand guidelines existed as a PDF, and head office only found out a listing had ignored them after it was published.
Social made it worse. Brokers wanted assets for Instagram and TikTok, so they cropped listing photos by hand, badly, at whatever aspect ratio they guessed. The network's visual identity held on the portal and fell apart everywhere else.
Cost was equally uneven. Editing was invoiced per photo, per listing, per supplier, across as many cost centres as there were offices. Nobody could state the annual figure, let alone forecast it.
How it gets built
A network running its own CRM integrates the API directly rather than adopting another tool. Brokers never see Backbone. They see their own system, with the visuals already finished.
Rather than exposing individual models to brokers, the network's team assembles them into named workflows that match how its offices actually work. A default workflow runs on every property with no broker involvement:
- Enhance every photo in the shoot
- Replace the sky
- Blur faces and licence plates for GDPR
- Apply the company watermark
- Export the listing set, a square crop for Instagram, and vertical formats for Instagram and TikTok
- One call per property.
- The broker uploads, and a complete set comes back in every format the network publishes to.
Two workflows are usually left manual and broker-triggered: virtual staging, and photo-to-video. Both cost more and both need a judgement call about whether a property warrants them, so most networks keep a human in that decision rather than running them on everything by default.
What it changes
- Brand unification.
- One configuration at network level, inherited by every office. Head office can state a standard and know it holds, because it is applied before publication rather than checked afterwards.
- Consistency across channels.
- The same property produces the listing images and the social crops from one workflow, so the vertical asset matches the portal photo.
- Process.
- No supplier to brief, no invoices to approve, no chasing a freelancer on a Friday. Brokers publish sooner because there is nothing to wait for.
- Cost.
- External editing spend goes, replaced by a single predictable line you can forecast before the year starts.
Questions we get from brokerages
No. The API sits behind your CRM, so they work where they already work. Most never know the visuals passed through us.
It can, but most networks choose the opposite. Configuration sits at whatever level you want it: one treatment for the whole network, or per office, or per listing type.
Faces and licence plates are blurred automatically on every image, before anyone reviews the shoot. It is not a step a broker can skip.
Per image or per property, whichever fits how you budget. Either way it is a fixed price with no credits and no tokens, so the annual figure is knowable in advance.
